2022 Waitiri Creek Central Otago Chardonnay – 93 Points (Excellent)
As with all our wines, the fruit for this wine was hand-harvested. This was followed by whole bunch pressing. Made in a fruit-driven New World style, this wine shows all the influences of classic Old World winemaking. Six months on French oak has produced a rich, succulent palate with an appealing texture and outstanding primary fruit.
A touch of wood smoke. The lovely weight and texture touch the palate first, followed by baking spices, peach, apple, and citrus flavours. Wood smoke and mineral, medium+ acid line and length.
