Ripe, warm and sweetly fragrant, the inviting bouquet shows dark cherry, plum, game and truffle characters with hints of cedar and vanilla. The palate offers terrific fruit richness and generous texture, beautifully framed by fine tannins. The wine is immediately appealing, although it will develop greater complexity with time. 2019 Central Otago Pinot Noir
Very attractive bouquet with aromas of red berries and stony schist soils, wild dried herb and a fine savoury core. On the palate - youthful, fresh and vibrant with an abundance of texture, core of fruit, moderate oak level and plenty of youthful vibrato. Flavours reflect the bouquet with dark cherry and dried raspberry, some plum then a return to the savoury core. Firm tannins and moderate oak level add foundation and texture. Lengthy finish and well made. Best drinking from mid to late 2022 and through 2030.
- Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
2019 Central Otago Rosé
It's brightly fruited and elegantly expressed on the nose showing grapefruit, nectarine and floral characters with a hint of strawberry.
The palate displays vibrant fruit flavours combined with fine texture and refreshing acidity, finishing long and pleasingly dry.
At its best: now to 2021. Aug 2020. - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Central Otago Sauvignon Blanc
As with all our wines, the fruit for our Sauvignon Blanc was hand harvested. This single vineyard Gibbston wine is full-flavoured and overtly tropical, displaying ripe fruit and balanced acidity - very easy drinking.
WAITIRI CREEK CHARDONNAY
Central Otago Chardonnay
As with all our wines, the fruit for this wine was hand harvested. This was followed by whole bunch pressing. Made in a fruit-driven New World style, this wine shows all the influences of classic Old World winemaking. Six months on French oak has produced a rich, succulent palate with and appealing texture and outstanding primary fruit.
WAITIRI PINOT GRIS
2017 Waitiri Creek Pinot Gris
Showing an elegant nose of tropical fruit, quince and white peach with toasty biscut notes. The underlying use of aged oak characters provide a well rounded feel in the mouth. Your palate will sense the Central Otago mineralogy showing good weight and complexity.
Ready to drink now and served lightly chilled
2016 Waitiri Creek Gewürztraminer
Really good colour with a core of yellow and pale golden tones leading to a fragrant, almost heady bouquet of spice and white fleshed fruits, some fresh, some baked. The spice and floral tones of the variety are loud and clear along with a light toasty quality from bottle development. Satin-cream texture as the wine touches the palate, moderate acidity then flavours that reflect the bouquet finishing with a spice and dried herb quality.
Balanced and ready to drink from today and through the end of summer 2023. - Cameron Douglas, MS
